  1. Family Safety e0mail notification to add time can not be disabled

Dear Family Safety support team. (Windows/ other/unknown / Security and privacy / Family safety)

I checked that page, but it did not help to help my problem.

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...uestions/5672f7b2-e3c0-498a-9a6c-c9cab39f68e5

I have a family. I am an owner. When my son requests more time I get mobile push notification for that request. I can immediately approve that request. IT is convenient.

But at the same time, auto-generated e-mail is sent to my Outlook e-mail. I never use those e-mails as something, which I need to react.

They just flood my inbox, making it impossible to use Outlook properly.

Is there any option to unsubscribe for those e-mails or stop such notifications for emails only. I need mobile push notifications, but do not need e-mails.

Email is from Microsoft Family Safety <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>.

I can not stop it from constantly flooding my outlook e-mail. Please, help.

Or just say that there is no such feature, and I can continue to avoid using outlook email and stay with gmail. =)

There is case number [mod removed], hopefully, it can give more details.

THat was last comment from the support technician, who helped me with that case:

"That is a frequently ask question but please post your issue and provide this case number [mod removed] so Family safety support will check the conversation and documentation as taged for escalation"

    :)

Family Safety e0mail notification to add time can not be disabled

Hi and thanks for reaching Microsoft Xbox gamer's community. My name is Josef.

I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

Hope you're doing great today despite this Dmitry

It seems that right now there is no way to disable email notifications for family notifications.

The most closest thing to that is adding a rule like advised on this similar thread on Reddit:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxone/comments/nbnrt...

"I created rule - this specific Microsoft email plus subject contain "can .... Have more time" and it automatically bypasses inbox and goes to trash.

This way I only have application notification."

    Hi!

Copied and pasted from the official guide at: http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-live/parental-controls/parental-control-info

How do I set the Family Timer?

Use the Family Timer to limit the amount of time that your family can use your console on a daily or weekly basis. Family members can see how much time remains by pressing the Guide button on the Xbox controller. When the time expires, the console shuts
down and can't be used again until the Family Timer automatically resets the next day or week.

    To set the Family Timer

      1. On your console, go to Settings, and then select Family.

Tip Not seeing Settings? You might be using an older version of the console software. See Update your Xbox 360 console software for information on how
        to update your console software.

    1. Select On to turn on Console Safety.
    2. Enter a 4-button pass code using your controller.
    3. Select Family Timer.
    4. Select whether you want to set a Daily or Weekly timer.
    5. Move down to the time period and use the left stick to increase or decrease the time period, then select Continue.
    6. Select Save and Exit.
When the Family Timer is on, notifications will appear 1 hour, 30 minutes, 15 minutes and 5 minutes before the time runs out. These give players sufficient warning so that they can save their games. However, when one of these notifications appears, you can
add time or disable the timer altogether by entering the pass code.

To add time or suspend the Family Timer
    1. When a Family Timer notification appears, press the Guide button to see the Family Timer options.
    2. Enter your pass code using your controller.
    3. Choose to add more time, suspend the timer or turn the console off.

How do i get rid of a time limit

    Hey Alaina, how are you?

Regarding to your situation, if you need to 'ask' for permission to play a game, maybe the 'Parental Control' is on.

You may first refer to the step below, or refer to the link here: https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/help/family-online-safety/online-safety/set-screen-time-limits

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft account.
    2. On your family page, scroll to your kid's name and select Screen Time. (If you don’t see

your kid's name, use "Add a family member" to add their account to your family group or create a new account for them if needed.)
    3. To set one limit that applies to both the Xbox and the PC, turn on "Use one screen time schedule."
    4. To manage time limits separately, scroll down and turn on screen time for Windows devices or Xbox, whichever you want to set first.
    5. Click "Set a time limit." Then choose a start time and an end time for each day of the week.
    6. You can program the Xbox to send a notification to your kids when their screen time is ending.
    7. To do this, press the Xbox button on the controller.
    8. Select System > Settings > Preferences > Notifications > Xbox Notifications > System and turn on "System notifications." Your kid will see the clock count down when time is ending.
Hope this would solve your problem!

    Best,
