Family+ privacy setting issues

Discus and support Family+ privacy setting issues in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I am having the same issue I can't purchase anything.     Family+ privacy setting issues


    I am having the same issue I can't purchase anything. Whenever I go into Settings> Privacy and online safety. It just says Your privacy settings are in effect, but cannot be changed until we connect to the service and it says the same for content restrictions.
    However I can scroll down an invisible menu and select, Allow descriptions of explicit TV programming in OneGuide, Web Filtering and contact preferences. It just makes no sense, I've spoken to support and they have no idea what's wrong so I've got no idea
    what to do but I'm glad someone else has the same issue.

    I have tried redownloading my account and changing my settings on the website, but all I ever see when I go to my Privacy & online safety is: "Your privacy settings are in effect, but can't be changed until we connect to the service." Just like B4Halo and
    I know I am an Adult b/c I can make purchases on my 360 plus there is no option to upgrade to Adult and I am legally an Adult.

    Sorry to hear about the privacy setting issues. We went ahead and moved your post so that we can provide a tailored support experience. Let's see what we can do to help get this issue sorted. Have you tried changing your settings on xbox.com?

    If you haven't tried changing your privacy settings on your computer, please give the following steps a try:

    • From xbox.com, sign in with your Microsoft account.
    • Under My Account, select
      Security, family & forums.

    • Select Privacy and then select
      Privacy & online safety.
    • Select the Xbox One Online Safety tab.
    • Under the listed choices, check Anything under
      Buy and download.
    • After that is selected, click Save at the bottom of the page.

    From your Xbox One console:



    • Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
    • Once your console is powered off, wait 5 minutes.
    • Press the power button again to turn on your console
    • Try to make make a purchase.

    Give the suggested steps a shot and let us know if you were able to make a purchase.

    It worked Family+ privacy setting issues :) thank you! I can purchase now. However when I go into Settings> Privacy and online safety, it still says Your privacy settings are in effect, but cannot be changed until we connect to the service and it says the same for content restrictions.

    Glad to hear that you are able to make purchases! After reviewing your account settings, did you reboot your console? I'm just trying to figure out why you are still receiving the connect to service message.

    This also worked for me but I also still get the same message still but I was able to buy wat I wanted so hopefully it's solved soon! Thanks Family+ privacy setting issues :)
