Family passcode not working

Bought a used 360 and was sad to see that the family lock was activated.

Have tried to reset it twice with the code recieved from online support but no luck, has anyone experience in using the padkey combo and can give any hints on how to make it work?

Has anyone been successful in removing a family passcode? How was it done? Tried the LT RT XY LB RB Y LEFT STICK IN YY and not working.

Just to clarify, you are referring to the individual LIVE passcode on your account, not the Family Settings passcode, correct? If you recover the account, it should remove the LIVE passcode permanently. If it isn't working, try to delete your profile (profile
only, not items!), clear system cache, restart the console, and then recover your profile.

 

Hi there, in my experience the only way to get rid of it is by following what phone or chat support tell you which is usually entering the code they give you, I can only suggest maybe calling them and having them walk you through it:

I have chatted with them twice. Its just strange that the key combo doesnt work. Isnt it possible to allow adult content in another way? Like, changing the gamer account settings in som way?

 

In order to change if adult content is allowed you will need the family passcode if that is set. if the adult has forgotten those then they will need to contact Xbox Support in order to reset it.

There are no other ways to change the settings when a family passcode is active.
