  1. family organizer account

My son has a "child" account. When he clicks on family, it shows my name (actual name, not username) as the organizer. I have 2 different accounts, neither of which shows him as a part of my "family". Is there any way to figure out from his account what the username is that he should be associated with?

    :)

Hi! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

Not possible to find the email of the organizer account from the child account

You can find a forgotten Microsoft account email address by using your Xbox console or several alternative methods. Note that the methods for finding adult and child accounts differ, so go to the section below that matches the type of account you need to find.

How do I make my child the adminstrator on his laptop in Microsoft Family?

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    Good evening

Family Organizer Account: Ensure that you are logged in with the Microsoft account that serves as the Family Organizer. Only the Family Organizer has the authority to manage family settings.

Family Safety Website: Visit the Microsoft Family Safety website (https://account.microsoft.com/family/) and sign in with your Family Organizer account.

Account Management: Locate your child's account within the family group and click on it. Look for options related to account management or permissions.

Admin Privileges: Review the settings and permissions assigned to your child's account. There might be an option to grant administrative privileges or elevate their account to the administrator level.

Removing child restrictions from an account

You need to log in the accou that has the family organizer badge.
With that account you can change the privacy settings of the other accounts.

Or also remove and re-add the other accounts as family organizers

Removing an account from Family Groups

Are you the only organizer in the family group? If not, please ask the other organizer owner account to try on their end.

i don't need an alias, I need to change my son's email address from mine to his

    Hi, you can try this:

As your son is the family organizer go here with his account https://account.microsoft.com/family/home > select add member > make sure to select the family organizer role > type the email address associated with your Microsoft account

Once you join to the group, double check if indeed your account is a family organizer as well

Then use your son’s account to leave the family group and revert his age changing the birth here
    https://account.microsoft.com/profile

Finally use your account to invite your son to the family group again, but select this time “family member” and not organizer
In that way you should be able to control his privacy settings and everything
