Family Multiplayer

We are thinking about buying another xbox one so we can play multiplayer games like Fortnite and Minecraft together. If I, being the main account holder set my xbox as the home xbox, can my wife or daughter play multiplayer with me or will we have to have
two Gold accounts? If so, is there some type of family plan or something that will make things cheaper?

And yes, I know I need two copies of the game, I'm just hoping there is a cheaper way to play multiplayer without having to buy multiple Gold accounts. =)

1 Gold Account for the whole family

Bit of good news,
I have just been reading the new Xbox Mag that quote:
'One Xbox Live Gold Account for the whole house, so no need for upgrading the whole family

Nice touch and will save some family's money for all the kids to be able to go Multiplayer

 

Something to think about if you are the type that buys a lot of games.

Wow can't access some multiplayer portions? If that's true then that family share is worthless.

 

To play together with two Xbox consoles, you'll need to have two copies of the game, and two Gold accounts. There's no "family plan discounts" as far as I know; it's just every Xbox account purchasing Gold for itself.

If you have an extra controller, you can at least play splitscreen with Minecraft on the same console.

 

Not an expert on this but would game sharing be an option for the Viking ?
