  1. Family Live Account Sharing

Let me try and break down my situation.

I have an xbox in my living room, it is a Xbox S.

I also have an original Xbox in my bedroom. This xbox was my family account before I purchased the second account. I have my gammertag/live account, my wifes gamertag and my sons gamertag.

I am in the living room watching movies, I purchased off my account game and movie app. My son is in his bedroom playing a digital copy of WW2, also purchased off my live account. He can play for a little while then randomly his game stops
working, I get kicked out of my account as it automatically signs him into the bedroom xbox when he tries to reload his game.

Everything I have the two xbox has been purchased through my Xbox Live Account, mostly digital copies. How can I play my games in the living room as he plays separate games in the bedroom? I want his account to be able to play games I bought while I play
on the living room console, without needing me signed in the bedroom for him.

Is this possible? I have an external HDD with my games loaded on each console. Is there a way to link my live account to my sons family account and share all my stuff with him?

    :)

    How to use Kinect Share

Kinect sharing allows you to share your photos and videos with others. Some Kinect games can take photos and videos of you and your friends at the time of playing. You can easily upload these photos and videos to websites and services such as KinectShare.com. You can download your files any time. You can also share the photos and videos with your friends and family on social networking sites like Facebook.

You have to sign into Xbox LIVE to upload your photos and videos to KinectShare.com or similar websites. The Kinect Sharing setting must be “Allowed”.

To change your Kinect Sharing setting, follow the steps bellow:

    • First, you need to turn on your console and sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.
    • Go to Settings to select Privacy.
    • Press Change Settings.
    • Select Customize.
    • Proceed to Kinect Sharing.
    • Select Allowed or Blocked.

      Allowed:
If the setting is “Allowed”, you can upload and share photos and videos to websites and services such as KinectShare.com.

      Blocked:
If the setting is “Blocked”, you won’t be able to upload your files on websites and services.

Note: The default settings is “Allowed” for adult and teen Xbox Live accounts, and “Blocked” for Xbox LIVE child accounts.

    • Press B on your controller.
    • Finally, press Save and Exit to save your settings.
You need to complete these steps for each person in your family. To change the setting on a child account, you’ll be asked to enter the Microsoft account (email address and password) of the associated adult account.

xbox "home gold" share Xbox One's premium features

Kinda sounds similar to the family share just a little tighter on the digital game sharing. It seems their may be a tier system for Xbox subscription so if your only using the TV & Netflix side it may be cheaper than the full gold package. Only time will tell at this point.

    Family Live Account Sharing

You would have to set his console as your Home console in order to share everything there. However, if anyone else wants to access the games/content on the living room console, they will no longer be able to.

Sharing saved games between different family profiles on xbox one?

With Xbox one accounts you can share your gold with family share as long as your console is the home console

He will still need a live child account

    Home Console/Game Sharing expansion needed

I agree that there is room for improvement in the current family sharing system. My Idea would be a true "Home" sharing setup, where all Xboxes on the same home network could share 1 gold account. They could even limit that to maybe 1 gold account can
share with up to 4 Xboxes on the same local network. That would solve most family account issues, and still be controlled enough to limit the abuse of the program.

The other way they could handle it would be similar to how Microsoft runs Office 365. With my 365 account I can have up to 5 running instances of Office at once, and I can designate family members to share my 365 account with. If Live Gold used that same
system, then you could add your family to the account the same way. 365 is $99 a year, where Live Gold is $60, so maybe up the "family shared" version of Live Gold to $99 a year, where a single use account is still $60?

I would also like a Microsoft "Super" account that would give me Office 365, Xbox Gamepass, and Live Gold under one Subscription...
