Family limit options don't appear despite having two accounts

Family dashboard is for Xbox Live. If they are not on Live it will not appear. You could upgrade the account to a child Live profile with your email affiliated with it and limit the account. But you have stated that isn't something you'd be interested in
with limiting the account so I suppose you're stuck for now.

Have you attempted to login with your account at this Family Settings Dashboard? It should provide you an overview of the digital family structure including who is listed as organizers for the family. Please keep in mind that not all information will be provided just to keep account security safe. However, it should give you an idea as to who might have the adult accounts that can grant permissions and help you leave the family.

Otherwise, you might try contacting our support here. Please note that they are limited in what they can do due to account security as well and if you don't have access to the parent account then options might be limited.

So the tenure does reset when someone moves from an individual to a family account. I wouldn't call it "correct." He had an individual account for two years before switching to the family account. I guess well just accept it as a limitation of XBL.

Hello Henry, this must be happening because your account was placed in a family account and the family host did not allow purchases from your account.

As far as I'm aware the Xbox One never had an option to set any sort of time limits for standard accounts. It's been a while, but I believe the Xbox 360 did have some options to do this. As far as Xbox One and PC all of the restrictions such as time limits,
schedules, etc. have to be set for a "child" account. All of these settings can be found at https://account.microsoft.com/family/
