  1. Family (features on Xbox One need a way to manage family members)

My family consisted of me(34), my wife(32) my brother (30 yrs old) and my two kids 7 and 4 yrs old.

I visited a real family member with my wife. We played Xbox one there. They added us to the family but it actually removed me and my wife leaving my brother who does not have an Xbox one

We removed his profile from our Xbox one because my parental permissions restricted his Xbox 360. And removed him from my family but it wouldn't remove him. Months back.

Now my kids are stuck in his family. He has no Xbox one.

Me and my wife can only add each other into a new family.

The kids are now only able to play my games if I'm logged in. My wife too

Please fix this as the family feature on the Xbox one does not allow people to have families.

There are also no management features and considering I'm the one who set up the child accts. the kids should be linked to me regardless.

    :)

Timing settings per liveID / gamertag

How do I configure a time limit for Xbox One use per gamertag? I would like to set it either on a daily or weekly basis in 30 minute increments. Please advise - this is a critical feature I need to enable to manage usage by my family members.

  3. Xbox one family timer

Hello everyone! I have been looking for a family timer on xbox one I need it to manage my time. I know they had it on xbox 360. If the family timer feature is not on xbox one is there any other apps our programs that would set a timer?

The main problem in this is that you were added in a new family. This was not necessary and meant to be.

So of course the kids stayed in the "old" family where the only adult now is your brother.

One solution could be, that even if your brother doesn't own a One you may log in into his account on your One and remove the kids from his account so you are able to add them to the "new" family again.

  6. The problem is my brother was removed from my family months ago.

He was removed and deleted from my Xbox one because my parental settings prevented him from playing x360 games and content.

Problem #2 is that Microsoft allows other adults to break up a family

Problem #3 Microsoft does not give control to the parents of the kids so basically this system allows "kidnapping"

I can't log into my brothers profile because his profile is not on my console nor can I add him because I don't have his password or the text password which is good for security.

Microsoft needs to pair kids with one to two parents and not allow parents to be removed from a family. That's an oversight.

As of now I'm stuck and my kids are stuck until he comes back into town.

PS please fix the forums as I couldn't reply for hours (8+)

Hmm, well, this "kidnapping" thing is only possible if you have access to the kids profile on the respective console You cannot add them to a family on a console where their profiles are not stored on. Also the family can only be broken up if your account
and it's login credentials are present on another console. As this is only possible with your active participation, there is no real "kidnapping" or breaking up the family without your knowledge.

Anyway, this should be possible to fix with the help of the phone support, so I'd suggest to call them up and explain the problem there and see if they can help you with that.

  8. Family (features on Xbox One need a way to manage family members)

The reason I posted this was as a result of support not being able to help

"Kidnapping" is very possible as we all log into other consoles to play our games and its the only way to access save files

There are no alerts, warnings, texts or email that occur when someone breaks up your family and just so you know....anyone that has logged onto another console can be added to another persons family without the other person knowing

Once my cousin added me to his family, all the XBL profiles that were innhis family showed up on my console when I got home. None of those gamers have ever logged into my Xbox One but I was able to remove other members of their family while on my xbox
    one

this is a mess that needs to be handled asap

for now im waiting until my brother arrives...also IF you do not have hands on experience with this please do not suggest that its a simple fix and not a problem.

While talking with support she shared how sorry she was this happened as it happens a lot each month......this to me is a big issue because I dont trust all adults with my kids
