From my experience with the Rewards Program, the requirements for missions are very specific and you must complete the mission exactly as it is written to get credit. Here is the link to the FAQ for this mission:

Read through it and make sure you hit every qualification and let us know. I don't see the Gold edition listed in the qualifying games on that FAQ, so it might not count, but that would need some clarification from XBL Rewards Support.

As stated in the FAQ for this offer, only games are eligible. Purchases of add-ons or DLC are not eligible.

Only purchases made during the offer period are eligible for the offer. Since your purchase of Assassin's Creed Origins was in November, achievements from that game were not eligible for this offer.
