Family and Online saftey issues

Have you tried changing your settings using other device or private browser? Kindly check if you're added as a child/member under an Xbox family.

You can see it by going to account.microsoft.com/family.

If you're looking at the settings for Privacy and Online Saftey Settings, you can try to change them at Xbox.com or on your console: Privacy and Online Saftey

If one isn't working, try the other. If you're having issues in both, another browser might be worth checking as well as visiting account.microsoft.com to ensure there are no other listed issues with your account.

Another issue might be that your account is designated a Child account which would require that an adult modify your Privacy and Online Saftey Settings, which you should check that your birthday is correct for your account:

Even with your child having their own funds and bank, it's important to think about them making purchases that can cause their funds and bank accounts to be overdrawn. I would suggest reading through the Family and Online Saftey on Xbox Support to make an
informed decision.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. Have you attempted to change the privacy & online safety settings by using a different browser or device? The article entitled, "Troubleshoot
changing online safety or privacy settings on Xbox One" contains information on how to change the privacy & online safety settings through a browser. This also applies for Windows 10. Once you access the settings, you will see an option that states, "Xbox
One/Windows 10..." Be sure to let us know the results!

It might be the Privacy and Online Saftey settings for her account. Those settings can be found through the steps here: https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox-one-privacy-and-online-safety They cover how to get there on an Xbox console or the Xbox website.


If she is a child account, then she would need an Adult account in her family to make the change on her account, or be added to a family and then have the adult make the account.

Another issue might be the username itself: https://www.reddit.com/r/realms/comments/437lo5/cant_invite_provided_name/ Could be case-sensitive, or if it's one word or two.
