Family account balance

Each account has their own. There is no way to share a balance.

Hi Carol! Just to clarify: Are you looking to give your child your Microsoft account balance or Microsoft Rewards points? While transfering account balance isn't possible, you can give Rewards points to your child or other family members by adding them
to your family in the 'Family' tab in your MS rewards hub.

We went from a single account to a family account. If you have any balance remaining on the single account, they will apply that to the purchase amount of the family pack. We love the family pack. Parents can regulate all aspects of gaming for the kids.

There is not a way to transfer an existing balance directly. I'd recommend using the balance to purchase a gift card and redeeming on your account. You could also make the purchase on the family members account as a gift, and gift the content to your account.
