Families Beware! Poor design of family play.

All children must create and manage separate email accounts from their parents, then use those email accounts to create separate Microsoft live accounts before they are able to play together. I have 6, 8, and 10 year old kids who are not able to play together
without going off and doing the above with email accounts. I have spent 28 minutes waiting for support on chat, then 20 minutes where they confirmed that the kids can not play together without creating the above email accounts etc. *** poor design. A parent
should be able to make kid profiles under their account without creating and managing a whole slue of email accounts.

family membership to be stopped

surely microsoft has yet again blundered by stopping the family accounts for it will now cost families more to play on xbox live for now the individual cost will be more than the cost of one family account ie family account $129 for up to four family members
individual $69 x 4 = $276 would that be fair i dont think so its just another way of *** more money from the gamers who are families so come on re-think its families you will lose if you slam them with extra costs i use the above figures above as an example
as im not sure what the renewal costs are going to be when my family account is closed as i am up for renewal on 28/8/13 and now it looks like instead of one cost i will now be charged twice for two accounts it unfair its a wrong move and it will lose families
there are better ways to go about this issue but it looks like microsoft are going for bigger profits not families

I agree with LakehousePeeps! Microsoft should let parents decide if their child has an email account and not FORCE us to create an email and pay .50 cents so that each child can have their own profile on Xbox One. If I had known this was the setup, I
would have stayed with my 360. If Microsoft is so interested in children's safety, then don't force an email account to be setup!!! Great job Microsoft!

 

That's how all consoles work though

All online accounts have to have emails to make it easier to use an account roaming

Would you rather you be stuck on one console?

Copa is a law you pay that regardless of console for any online service psn and wii both have to comply with that law

That's an issue you should take up with your congressman

 

You recover your account in any console using the email

Rather then carrying around a memory card which is the point of online accounts

They can be used anywhere
