False warranty period .

Hi there. I have purchased an Xbox one console and a wireless controller from Amazon. India and am facing some issues with the console and the controllers.

It was purchased on 06/08/2015 and the warranty period has to be 06 / 08 / 2016.

But when I login my account, it says the warranty period has expired on 16/11/2015.

Which , I am afraid is not fair.....I need a replacement for the same. Please guide me how do I handle this?

Kindly look into the date of purchase and correct the warranty period shown in my Xbox account . It is the Xbox one team who has to do the correction

And help me to replace the console as the Amazon support team are not authorised for same . They need a word from the Microsoft Xbox one support.

How long have you had the console? what is wrong with the console? Where are u in the world?

No one on this forum is from MS support, you would need to call them or go on to live chat support.

 

Your issue is with the retailer at this point. Your one year limited warranty should still be good there.

Contact Amazon India customer support and start the process of returning the product for a refund or replacement. =)

 

Your situation will be covered under Indian consumer law, and I have no idea what that is.

In the UK and US, after a year you'd have to pay for repairs, but that's because there is a service available for that in the countries if they don't have it in india, then your in trouble.

Is India a place where the Xbox One has been official Launched.

 

Yes,India is a supported country.

It's possible the op has bought a 2nd hand console without realising.
