False reports caused "Avoid me" rep - Reputation system is easily abused.

I am far from the perfect human being, I'm guilty of taking gaming too seriously during some moments of my life. There have been moments were I have risen to trash talk and responded accordingly. Yes I know that trash talking can be offensive to some, but
its easy to forget yourself and engage in it despite the fact. However I have various reports made against me that are simply false, designed only to lower my reputation to prevent me playing. The only online game I play on xbox live is Gears of War and the
gears 4 fanbase are extremely volatile. I play on PC, and the PC is extremely unpopular amongst the console gamers whom believe that all PC gamers are cheaters and hackers. However I believe i have been falsely reported with the following;

1. I have 44 reports for unsporting conduct. This just make no sense to me, especially after i investigated what is considered to be unsporting conduct. I always play the objective, I never team kill and I never make use of glitches to allow myself the upperhand.
   I do not "t-bag" players (There may have been moments where I have, but only when said players have done the same to me, or messaged me being abusive) and I definitely don't message players criticising their gameplay. 44 reports for unsporting conduct is too
   excessive, and while some may be legitimate reports the majority have been placed against me because players cannot accept losing. This is made worse by the fact that I play on PC, where many console gamers will believe that I am cheating if i get a kill or
   play well.
2. I have 21 reports for cheating. Ive never used glitches in gears 4 (not sure if any even exist) nor do I hack (because its stupid, I love the game and I wouldnt risk being banned just to be an idiot.) If I was stupid enough to hack, then I would've been
   banned, because this is against the code of conduct.) Thats how I can prove without a doubt that these reports are nothing but false. They have been placed against me by players I have legitimately killed or beaten So thats 21 reports for cheating that have
   simply been made against me because ive won a game or killed someone and theyve seen I play on PC. I can affirm this on the basis that I do not use hacks and there are no glitches on gears 4 that give players any unfair advantages. Without hacks or glitches,
   how could I have possibly cheated?
3. I have 16 reports made against me for voice communication. How could this possibly be? If I talk to someone that I dont know it is 100% of the time via text communication. The only time I use my mic is in a party chat with friends. So where does 16 reports
   come from? How could I legitimately have 16 reports made against me for voice communication when I never use my microphone in game chat? Nor do I send players voice messages because I use my keyboard to type!
4. I have 3 reports made against my gamertag.. "" My gamerpic refers to a character from a cartoon show called "Doug the Cartoon". Even if someone did not know this, Quale (Quail) is a bird and dog is a dog. I fail to see what is offensive about this
   name? These reports are clearly false reports and the reputation system regards them as legitimate reports, thus lowering my rep further. How can these reports be viewed as legitimate in any way?
5. I have 3 reports made against my gamerpic. I have used two custom gamerpics since the ability to use custom gamerpics became accessible. I used a picture of Bruce willis from Die hard 4.0, and I am now using a picture of marcus fenix from gears of war 1,
   famously known as the "Seriously" gamerpic. I failed to see how this is offensive to anyone? Also, if this was an offensive or obscene gamerpic then microsoft would have prevented me from using it. I know this because they review a picture before they let
   you use it.

I will conclude by saying, am I the perfect gamer? hardly. I am guilty of the same offenses that any gamer under the sun is guilty of. But I am by no means a players that goes out of my way to ruin the experience for others. The reports made against me were
made by people that report players better than them. They do this because they know it will prevent said players from matching up with them. Whatever happened to the days where players played to improve instead of just reporting players that win against them?

Yes I understand that the reputation system will filter out "bad" players, and I agree with that completely. However, I hope this problem can be rectified, because the abuse of the reputation system affects more than just me, it has the potential to affect
countless xbox gamers. The reputation is clearly easy to abuse and who knows how many gamers will be forced into "avoid me" for doing nothing but playing and winning games.

Also, I have seen this idea that people have to "change their behaviour". How can someone change their behaviour when there is nothing wrong with what they are doing? This reputation system basically allows someone to play a game, if they lose all they have
to do is report someone and they wont get matched up with them again. Seriously i ask this.. What has happened to online gaming? Why is the reputation system pandering to the sensitivity of gamers that cant stand to lose? Who can't just accept a loss and move
on from it?

Online gaming is in trouble..

It's not your opinion that counts

It's the opinion of others

Trashtalking is a legitimate complaint

And FYI not every report is flagged as valid you do realize that righr? 16 bad rep reports is more then enough to put you in avoid me

The reputation report shows you what people are complaining about you and what you need to fix

If you have 16 trashtalking reports maybe you should fix your behaviour it's not rocket science

The reports will show on your rep panel regardless if it's valid or not

However it doesn't meant all actually affect your score

As mentioned 16 bad reports is more then enough to put you under and the 44 unsportmanlike behaviour you do realize that includes trashtalking righr?.people may have just filed it under unsportmanlike behaviour

And the way you are acting on forums only proves the point calling everyone who report you sore losers is bad sportmanship

Unsportmanlike behaviour is anything that doesn't show respect for your opponents and teammates

This includes trashtalking, making fun of , ingame actions, even talking about people with disrespect etc etc you are missing the point of unsportmanlike behaviour and isn't limited to these things

Any coach or team will tell you this

I donno why you don't get what sportsmanlike behaviour is you learn this in school or watching TV sports this should be ingrained into you

A true great sportman has respect for their fellow persons regardless of win or loss that is what sportsmanship is allout

 

i do respect others thats why I dont trash talk. I have been stupid enough to respond to people that message me at certain times but the majority of the time I dont speak to others, win or lose. In fact even when I moved over onto pc all I would ever say
to someone is "glhf" (Good luck have fun) or gg (good game)

Also I fail to understand where youre coming from. How does my post confirm that I am unsporting? How would you feel if people reported you for winning or killing them and this meant that the membership you paid for is effectively going to waste.

Im sorry for being annoyed that the rep system works on the opinion of others. All that means is I can kill someone or win a game and as long as someone THINKS im cheating or being unsporting then my rep is lowered

How is that fair?

 

Reports on your gamer tag have no bearing in your rep that's an enforcement issue nor do you see any complaints unless enforcement action is actually taken

 

Well I can easily see that my gamertag and gamerpic have both been reported 3 times each, and It is quite clear that neither gamerpic or gamertag are offensive in any way

I pride myself in doing all that I can to play fair and show sportsmanship towards everyone I play with. My point stands that I cannot clean up my behaviour because I dont have bad behaviour

I also cannot believe that cheating and unsporting reports are reviewed by people because if that was the case I wouldnt be having this issue.
