False Reporting

I'm just curious if I can be banned from false reports; I'm having a quarrel with these people I know outside of Xbox that had reported me just to mess with me (probably 4 reports total) and I'd rather not have to lose my service over nothing.

False Reporting

If someone harasses you online just report that person or block them from further abuse. If your son is a minor I suggest you to create a minor's account for him.

Every report gets investigated by XBLPET before a suspension is handed over so rest assured if your son has done nothing against the Code of Conduct you have nothing to worry about.

 

False reporting

I've been playing Gears of War 4 for two days straight and have come across the same toxic player twice and he sent me messages talking trash and telling me I suck, so I report him for the rude messages. The following day(today), he messages me an explicit
message telling me how dare I report him and blo blah curse words here and there and says he's going to get all his friends to report me. My question is will these reports against me actually hold weight? I didn't cuss at him in any messages or voice chat.

Short answer, no.

Long answer. When someone reports you (either legitimately or illegitimately) a person at Xbox enforcement will investigate that report (all 4 of them), and if they see that you haven't done anything they will disregard the false
report.

 

So when you report a person for modding for instance somebody looks into that report i call BS because i have reporting the same players for months on end and they are to this day still doing the same modding

 

Microsoft got called out a few years back for accidentally banning consoles because of wrongly collected data. They can investigate all they want but if the information they are getting is wrong then they are going to reach the wrong conclusions.

Who is to say that something like that hasn't happened before or since? Can we really be sure that no-one has been accidentally banned because Microsoft's data collection systems spat out the wrong result?

Sorry if I'm being a doomsayer here but I find the faith people have that the Enforcement Team are never wrong to be quite surprising at times.

 

its ridiculous how little they do bring back the good old days of the pro who would join lobbies and ban their consoles

 

I was reported by people the other day I wasn't talking to for the whole week and now I can't talk to my friends or message people and I don't know how long I'm banned from those things

 

Chances are you were suspended for something you did weeks or even months ago.

An email should of been sent to the address linked to your account telling why & how long you were suspended for.
