False Report on Violation

I was recently reported for saying something that is considered along the lines as abuse, but the person who reported me never told me how they felt. So, I never apologized and I was thinking off what I said as jokingly. I remember when xbox used to warn
you a few times now they ban you from talking for a while. What has this world come to?

Question about Suspension

well you do realize that one it only takes one valid report right?

Anything else unless it's a seperate violation won't matter

Banned For Sticking Up For Myself

False reports have no bearing in your ban

They only get trashbined

In order for a suspensjon to be handed out it is reviewed by one person for accuracy

If false the reports accuracy score ( which affects future reports) drops and it is trashed

if valid it is sent to a team of people depending on priority for review depending on the violation this can be a few hours or a few weeks

Either way it's not just one person's opinion

Xbox has never sent warnings. If they were going to suspend someone, they would just suspend them. The warning has always been the code of conduct you agreed to.

If you haven't violated the Code of Conduct his report won't have any impact, and as someone suggested, report him as well if he's filing false reports that's a violation.

It would not be false reporting. People can claim whatever they want but hacking is a violation.

There's no way to cancel a report once it's made. If your friend didn't do anything to violate the code of conduct, he'll be fine. If you only sent the one false report, you'll be fine. It's when people send multiple false reports that they can get in
trouble.

You will not be suspended for anything if you are falsely reported.

The only way that you get suspended is if you violate the code of conduct.

Once a report is made it is sent to our enforcement team and they then investigate the report and if there was a violation of the code of conduct then thats when your account is suspended if there was no violation then there would be no suspension.

You can file for a case review at enforcement.xbox.com and the enforcement team will reinvestigate your case.
