    False Advertising, Poor Service


    The XBox One X is advertised as "enjoy the titles you own and love at no additional cost" under the heading "Compatible with everything XBox One". This is a lie.

    If you have an original XBox One (not the S), are upgrading to the One X and want to continue to use Kinect (which my daughter does for the Just Dance series), you have to buy a $55 adapter.

    For the One S, the adapter was free. For the One X, which is $300 MORE, you have to spend another $55. So I have a $650 console which I need to spend more money just to make it backwards compatible.

    The advice of the support chat line was "... everything will work out fine so let's stay positive, ok? And keep checking [the website] from time to time..."

    What a crock.

    Better Business Bureau & False Advertisement

    What is the legal definition of false advertising? Or the elements required to prove false advertising? Just so we can differentiate between that and normal advertising, which is always to some extent false and misleading.

    Yes, they should label these titles correctly.

    They discontinued the Kinect and no longer are selling them or supporting them. XBOX ONE X is a hardcore gaming console and not for Kinect activities.

    I think it's absolutely shocking Microsoft are not supplying XBOX ONE to XBOX ONE X gamers a free kinect adaptor, its disgrace borderline criminal.

    MICROSOFT FORCED EARLY ADAPTORS TO GET THE KINECT - its not the consumers fault the kinect failed so WHY are we being penalised.

    The article that is linked to even states that 'technically, yes they did false advertise' according to the BBB.
