I want a refund on Ark survival Evolved. 1 They said they would fix game breaking bugs they have not. 2 They said the would not charge for DLC during early access and now they have. I doubt Ark will even get fixed atm. I am sick of devs lies to the community
just to get us to buy a game.

    :)

Gears Of War Ultimate Edition - Download Tokens

I have received this game as a gift. It was bought for me as a bundle but no where on the packaging or game box does it tell you to play it before December 31st to get 4 of the games via digital tokens. I started playing it in January and Microsoft tell
me I am outside the promotion window now and they cannot help me. I feel that this is false adverting and am very disappointed. Does anyone have tokens which they do not require for Gears 2, Gears 3, Gears Judgement?

    Thanks in advance

Do you like the Beta? Tell me why

    Foam Football,

It is an invite to the show, but also my thoughts on the beta. I have played every single BF game other than 2142. I would play BC2 over any COD game. So I am not just adverting the show, I am seeking honest opinions first and foremost.

    False adverting

A great post from the Ark forums by Joker86

    Hi there!

Looking into the patch notes for the patch, I see:

    Quote

    - Scorched Earth Expansion Integration!

    - Cross-ARK travel & Cross-Official-Server Transfer via Supply Crates & Obelis Terminals

    - New Structure: Large Ceiling Dino Doors (Stone, Metal, Adobe)

    - NVIDIA Ansel support (Launch ARK with the NVIDIA Ansel launch option (or -allowansel), Alt-F2 during singleplayer gameplay, and [Delete] in spectator mode to access Depth of Field menu!)

So let's see. People always want to emphasize how the DLC is optional, so I have every right to not care about the first point.

Then there is the travel, which basically already existed ingame go a long time now, and only got deactivated. So nothing new there. All it does is allowing those people who coughed up some extra dosh to steamroll vanilla players in the vanilla game with
their poison dragons and rock throwing stone golems. Alright, seems like a fair business model, rendering the DLC totally optional.

Then we actually have a new structure with a new functionality, in three different version. Yay! Content!

And finally we have NVIDIA Ansel support which a) benefits only those people who own NVIDIA GPUs, and is also something very peculiar and will be used by only a fraction of all players.

Summary: we got ceiling doors and a reactivated feature, which will allow other players to annihilate those players without the third, paid "feature" which isn't really part of the base game.

Now I have bought the game on Steam, and I remember having read the shop page. Do you know what the shop page told me? I will quote it, so you don't have to look it up (but you can, if you want!):

    Quote

We love games, and holy smokes do we ever love dinos (along with all sorts of other extinct creatures/natural sciences), and through interaction and iteration with the ARK's community, we think we have the best shot at creating the be-all, end-all long-term
prehistoric universe that we want to live and thrive in.

(So it's supposed to be about dinosaurs and prehistoric stuff)

    Quote

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately 1 year, with a full release planned for June 2016 coinciding with the console versions.”

They missed the release date. That's nothing unusual and not too dramatic, but it should be considered. Also the reasons why the release date was missed might be of interest.

    Quote

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“While we have the foundation of our game at Early Access launch, there are many currently-planned features and content additions we will be adding over the year from EA to full release. Beyond such planned features, will be adding TONS of aspects suggested
or iterated on by the community, hence the point of Early Access!

Planned Core Features include, among many other things:

    - Mac and Linux versions

    - Procedurally Generated ARK's

    - 40+ more creatures to reach well over 100, with essentially every major category of extinct animal represented in some way

    - More saddle types including saddle armor tiers and saddles with powerful weapons mounted on them

    - Gas-powered Vehicles

    - Human/Dino Body-Paints

    - Enhanced building mechanics to evolve ARK into one of the best straight-up builder games out there

    - More underwater biome/ecosystem complexity, including support for vacuum-sealed underwater bases

    - Lots more items, weapons, armors and further advanced tech tiers

    - More item skins, limited run event skins

    - More bosses and the end-game cycle including the Ultimate Life Form & Ascension

    - More biome types, including deserts, snow regions, swamps, and more.

    - Steam Economy Support for Statistical Items (Need some Steam API functionality for this from Valve!)

    - Way more plants and more detailed plant biology systems/farming systems

    - More statistical modelling of status illnesses/diseases (both player and creature)

    - Better SFX, more Music, Better UI's, Better Gamepad support (i.e. UI button shortcut callouts), Better VR support (i.e. HMD gun-aim option)

In addition to zillions of bug fixes, intensive performance improvements, mega iterative polishing, and what have you. The game will sparkle like a shiny diamond before it is considered ready for Full Release, and even then we plan on a long-term post-Release
content lifecycle, with specialized ARK's on the drawing board.”

So there is a lot promised here, and judging from the current state of the game it's far from being close to release.

    Quote

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Everything described on the full Features List is in the Early Access version right now -- not all 100% polished, but designed to be fun. Over the next year, the game will be rapidly iterated on with updates usually coming 3 times per week, almost always
including new features, balance and polish improvements, and bug fixes. We are extremely fast at development, and will continue to push forward with maximum energy to make the game ever-greater on a daily basis. We live and breath game development, this is
    what we do.”

So I am being promised around 3 patches per week, with regular new features, balance and polish improvements. For now I have waited a whole month for three versions of a single structure type.

    Quote

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will have a Trello roadmap at Early Access launch, as well as massive & intense Forum interaction by the development team to gather ideas, feedback, and issues, along with a bi-weekly Q&A / Reddit AMA to involve everyone under the sun who wants to give
us their 2 cents on how to make this game everything it can be! Essentially we view ARK's Early Access player community as our primary benefactors -- we're making this game to serve you. Join us on the ARK False adverting :)

I am living under the sun, and I am someone. Does this mean I can expect a developer's response on this topic here? After all everything I quoted above made me buy that game and give you my money. I think this grants me a certain level of entitlement, don't
    you think so?

So what do you suggest, should I be happy with what I got from the promised stuff so far? Does it look good, will I get everything which was promised? If not, why? Why can't I have the Archaeopteryx and Tapejara I was promised for my money, and why did you
spend your time on developing a paid DLC instead, which I didn't ask you for and was not part of the deal? And more importantly: how can this not split the community and create a huge imbalance between DLCs owners and the rest? Is this game turning to Pay
    2 Win?

Somehow I doubt I will get an official response, because I can't imagine a single answer they could give which would not make things look truly awful. But who knows.

hence why i wil never ever buy into preview games. as when the game becomes a full version and they start asking for more cash you could already be bored or fed up of the game.

It's the risk you pay when buying a game from the preview section. I've bought 2 games from there and luckily they've both delivered.

ARK looks horrific though so no interest from me. Sucks you feel cheated though.
