hello.

after being prompted to clear local saved games by console to due not syncing correctly i have been unable to re-sync data.

all other games have, albeit slowly

cache cleared

persistent storage (blue-ray drive) also cleared

shutting down console unplugging power etc.

restarting game syncing data message. progress bar does not display 0%. does not start.

only option available is cancel syncing.

support helped best as possible.

please advise/make aware.

^ That's not true, your files are saved locally too. If you are connected it's synced and if you uninstall a game your local save is removed until you redownload the game, at which point it will sync to servers.

Your file is on your system, and it auto syncs. Makes it seem like you are only using cloud, but really it will just update your cloud save and your local save by checking cloud.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (X1)

I have achieved 82% progress in this game. When attempting to play a week ago after the loading screen appears a completely black screen with game noises in the background. I found this is a known issue with this game. A save corruption problem.

I have attempted many recommended actions for a solution:

Clear local saved data from console, uninstall game, reinstall, re-sync with cloud= FAIL

Disconnect from internet and attempt to load from console ONLY= FAIL

Power cycle XBOX ONE= FAIL

Contacted Square-Enix technical support; generated a ticket (Ticket number is: 5443945) and NO RESPONSE= FAIL

Variations of first step listed above= FAIL

I arrived at the conclusion both cloud and console data are corrupt. And this really sucks. I have completed 82% of the game and really do not want to start over.

Is it possible MS technical support can access a previous save-point in my cloud and establish it?

Any other suggestions would be welcomed.

The issue is still persisting.

I was having the same issue all day with my Xbox and I just now managed to fix it.

All I did was sign my profile out on my console then signed back in. No hard resets or anything. Just went to my profile, signed out, signed back in and everything went back to normal.

I'm in no way guaranteeing this will work for you, but it worked for me so it may work for you as well.

If you can access the Cloud saves via your phone's hotspot but not via your modem/router then there could be an issue with communication there and you should give your ISP a call to get that resolved.

In the meantime can you try disconnecting your console from Live then hold the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down. Restart the console and then, once it's loaded up again, reconnect it to Live. Hopefully that will resolve the problem
without the need to contact your ISP.

I am having this exact problem. The only way I can get cloud saves to sync is via my phone's hotspot. All other network functionality, both on XboxOne and other devices, works great via my normal Centurylink DSL connection. It's just Synced data that's horribly
slow and then fails. What does data syncing do differently than other network activity that clearly does not work with some ISPs?
