Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition installation being interfered by Game Pass Ultimate?

A bit of background: I have XBOX Game Pass Ultimate, with my subscription ending middle of 2021.

I also own the first edition of Fallout New Vegas, Ultimate Edition for Xbox 360.

I had all the content on my first Xbox One, but then the console died, so I moved my external drive, with all my game data, onto the new system. I wanted to play the game again, and loaded it, but the game would not recognize my installed DLC.

I uninstalled the game, and made an attempt to reinstall the game from the disc, however it seems my Xbox is defaulting to my Xbox Game Pass account, and installing the Game Pass version from the internet. It will then not recognize my disc 2 as the DLC
disc.

I even tried installing the game while offline, but it says it needs to be online to get an update.

Has anyone had luck installing the DLC without unsubscribing from Game Pass? I don't want to do this as I already have a LOT of subscription left.

I have the same exact problem! But with some web searches and some trial and error, ive uninstalled all game and dlc parts. Restart xbox. Then put disc 2 in xbox for dlc. It gives an error that content is unavailable. Then head into xbox store and look
up new vegas dlc while disc 2 is in drive. At full page menu it will give option to buy or install while disc is in drive. The. Install game from gamepass. Disc 2 must be in drive for dlc to be enabled in game.

You CAN NOT get all the dlc. Not sure why. Maybe licenses or somthing. some of the dlc tribal, mercenary, classic, and caravan packs are not downloadable.

Exactly. Not the regular version....ULTIMATE. Not playing the ULTIMATE edition is like saying NO to fun.

Try installing the game from the DLC disc instead of the Game disc. If I remember correctly, that was the way to get the DLC for the Game of the Year edition of Fallout 3 and the Ultimate Edition of Fallout New Vegas. You will need to uninstall the games first.

I am more concerned with the prices of Games on Demand not being competitive with gamestop. No reason why Fallout New Vegas is listed at 39.99 when the Ultimate edition is 49.99 with all four DLCs included.

If you hold out a little longer there is a Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition coming out soon that is the game and all the DLC for it.
