having the same issue i ever went ahead and bought it on steam cuz i can't deal with lame errors when it didn't even install 1 percent. its an instant error idk why Microsoft haven't fixed it.

No I'm not. I bought Fallout 76 via Xbox app. What I ask is - why I can't get Fallout 1st on Microsoft store, but I can if I wished, to buy it on Steam. Now, the question is. PC games are available for Lithuania, a full fledge member of EU, and I CAN AND I BAUGHT FALLOUT 76 IT ON MICROSOFT STORE, why can't I buy another part of that game?

I had success in getting the Microsoft Store version of Fallout 76 to work! I installed the Fallout 76 client from steam since it is still free until tomorrow, and launched it. It worked perfectly. I made up a character, left the vault so my character would save, and went back to the Microsoft Store client. It worked as well. Both versions of the game are linked to the same Bethesda.net account. There must be some issue with how the microsoft store version accesses bethesda.net in that early game stage before the first autosave. My fingers are crossed that it continues to work.

Please, reset the Microsoft Store and try installing the game again from there.

Is the game Fallout 76?

To Reset the Store, Press the Windows Key + R > Type WSReset.exe and press Enter.

Then, on the Microsoft Store, type your game name: "Fallout 76".

Load the game page and click on "Install".
