Fallout 76 Game Pass for PC - cannot launch

i downloaded the fallout 76 xbox game from game pass and launched in it in xbox companion on on my pc. It launches to the load screen but when i select play it gives me the profile privileges message.

i bought pc Ultimate game pass, then i bought fallout 76 on pc Ultimate game pass.

fallout 76 is free, on steam and bethesda.net, it is the account you pay for.

The Pc version of the game cannot be downloaded unless you purchase that version through: Fallout 76 - PC - Microsoft Store or by subscribing to Game Pass for PC.

Regarding your question, I am not sure I understood what you exactly meant.

If you are talking about the save data, then no it will not transfer as this requires the game to be Play Anywhere.

I had this when I first tried it. Turns out the Game-Pass version just doesn't like being installed on any drive other than the C:\ drive. Do you have the game installed on another drive than C:\?

At first it said I did not have permission to access multiplayer games. Checked my settings and they were set ok.

Relaunched the Game, now it will not allow me to create a Bethesda Account (why do I even need/want this?)

Tried again, said it created a "quick account" (whatever).

Now I get the following screen..



Any ideas ? Apparently several other users have the same issue but no clear answer...

Utterly clunky. The two stars are well deserved. Why do I need a Bethesda account. Can't create an account anyway. Life is too short for [Mod Removed] like this. I say we take off and uninstall from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
