Fallout 76 (Game Pass) error 1:5:1 NoRegionPing

Title. Attempting to start Fallout 76 if installed on any drive other than C: gives error 1:5:1 NoRegionPing and implies the servers are down. This problem has been reported for over a year now and still nobody's bothered to fix it? Having to install it on C: is not always practical or desirable, and the workaround is likely to bamboozle a lot of people. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED. I'm sure Bethesda can use some of their fat buyout cash to employ someone to sort it out...

As a broader problem, the "Xbox App games are installed as virtual volumes" deal causes a lot of compatibility, stability, and portability issues, generally necessitates a complete reinstall if you do a clean Windows install, and even confuses some built in Windows tools (try running disk defrag!). Fix it, or abandon it. Heck, as much as Denuvo sucks I still prefer it to this cack-handed nonsense...
