Fallout 76 disappeared

Has anyone else had their Fallout 76 game disappear from their Xbox X console hard drive? Was viewing my game library when I realized that the Fallout game was gone. Downloaded it last year through Live. There was also an update for it in the queue. That
also disappeared. Definitely did not manually remove the game, but it is gone, nonetheless.

Okay, that could very well be what happened. Recall accidentally touching the update button for that game, so then cancelled it. Was unaware that the game might uninstall itself. It is a relief to know what happened to it. The hard drive should be fine.
Nothing else disappeared and everything seems to operate normally. Thank you for your resolution. Appreciate it.

there was probably an update for FO76 that failed or was cancelled on your Xbox.

when this happens the game uninstalls itself to prevent corrupt game files from a partial update

No but try and uninstall and reinstall seems to always work

Like a week after last Christmas I dealt with this with quite a handful amount of games because I got a new hard drive so I had transferred it all from my 2 TB to my new 4 TB one. For me the games were still installed but i had to re-install then just
delete the old install and after a week or 2 everything was fine
