Fallout 4 Won’t Install

    Fallout 4 Won’t Install


    After I installed the latest FO4 update, my game started to have serious issues with freezing and crashing, so I decided to uninstall and reinstall it.

    Well, now I can’t get it to reinstall. It stops at 3.9%, and after a few minutes I get “Installation stopped”. Sometimes it tries to start installing again, but most of the time I have to cancel it.

    I’ve tried everything to get this to work. I power cycled the console. Tried installing online and offline. I cleared the local saves. Heck, I even stood the xbox up vertically to see if that would help.

    I did a little research, and it seems this is a pretty common problem, but no one has a solution beyond “I dunno man. ‍♀️ Maybe try getting a new copy of the game?”

    My disc is clean and in good condition. I only play FO4 once or twice a year, and it sits in its case the rest of the time.

    Someone please help. Even though I don’t play it very often, I’m genuinely fond of this game, and want to be able to reinstall it.

    I’ve tried everything the first troubleshooter suggests.

    The second one doesn’t apply, because I’m not having trouble with updates. And I’m not trying to download the game, I’m trying to install it from a disc.

    I guess I’m just gonna have to try buying a new copy and see if that works.

    Xbox series S closes games once idle.

    It closes the game (Fallout 4) to the dashboard as though I manually closed the game. Only Fallout 4 game of the year edition is installed and no mods.It also freezes in certain areas.

    you can install mods to games like fallout 4 and skyrim, but as for console i wouldn't recommend doing that, but if you mean games then yes fallout 4 and Skyrim are your games
