Fallout 4 Wishes

Vehicles in F4 should be a must if the map is anywhere near the size i am hoping.

I think some form of vehicle will be available, its how alot of rpg games are going whether its a motorised vehicle or a scabby donkey etc.

 

That's the thing though, the map size in 3 and NV was perfect, just big enough, plenty to do, loads of hidden gems to find if you were thorough. Bigger is not necessarily better.

 

I'm also on the fence about the vehicles, but as mentioned, if the game is very big (in Area) it may be a requirement, also, from the trailer, I gather humanity is on the mend, and tech will be too, so if there's helicopters ? Cars, or some other mode of
transport may be there anyway, but,,, I will not mind the the old walk along the broken road, either way, I'm very happy about a new Fallout.

 

@Genchy Fallout 3 was ok but i felt the majority of New Vegas's map was just empty desert...

...that and the strip was just boring.

 

THe strip was pretty boring, it was set in the Mojave which is a.......desert, there was still loads of stuff and places to find in NV but it wasn't as engaging as Washington.

 

Washington was definitely more engaging, I loved exploring the well known places like Arlington and the other famous landmarks, and I expect Boston will be the same, I'm in Scotland, but even I noticed the Paul Revere Statue, and what appears to be Fenway
Park, home to the famous Red Sox I believe, there was also one or two others,

When's the game out again ? Oh, yeah, not soon enough lol.

 

Wouldn't mind riding around on a mutated 2 headed horse or something..

Actually, even better - A ride-able giant mudcrab would be awesome!

 

Luckily it's looking like Fallout 4's world is going to be packed with stuff to do! (well, the tiny glimpse of it we saw in the trailer looked cool anyway)

There is a fine line really between the benefit of having a vehicle and not.

If the vehicle is too fun and convenient, there's no point in walking anymore and so part of the atmospheric feeling of being among apocalyptic ruins would be a bit lost.

And if the vehicle is too much trouble it may be more hassle than it's worth and abandoned at the start of the game.

I remember finding the "Boots of Flying" in Morrowind and I never walked again. It was the best thing ever and then it was the worst thing ever because being on the ground and walking again felt like the worst handicap ever.

 

Hmmm BizarroMantis makes a good point. To me something easy and super convenient doesn't really fit in Fallout, but make it a pain in the *** and whats the point?...

Maybe have a mix of the two, have working vehicles accessible but make fuel hard to come by and super expensive?

That sex robot from New Vegas... i miss it

 

Fallout 3 is a bit like RDR....horse, sheriff's duster, riding into the sunset, occasional gun battles and in New Vegas you had the country music.
