    Fallout 4 Time Commitment

Hey guys, so I am aware that Fallout 4 is a relatively big game. For that reason, I am still uncertain about purchasing the game. I've read the reviews (both good and bad) and talked with friends who play the game and love it in addition to those
who chose to pass on the game. I am currently in graduate school and honestly have very little time to play any games. That being said, the time I do have is already being devoted to Halo 5, Black Ops 3 and a few games on Steam which I am still thoroughly
enjoying. I played Fallout 3 years ago and thought it was a great game, but I just couldn't bring myself to finish New Vegas. My question isn't whether Fallout 4 is good or not. What I am asking is, based on your experiences, do you believe Fallout 4 requires
a decent time commitment in order to make progress and be enjoyed? Thanks!

    :)

Which 1 Do You Most Look Forward To & Why?

Fallout 4 fallout 4 and of course fallout 4!!!!

Why? Fallout 3 is my favorite all time game......though admittedly dead raising is making a strong argument to change my mind

It's excellent...and yes, it is a ginormous game. If you are a student and already devoted to other big games, I wouldn't bother getting Fallout 4 because it's just too big.

^ yes would probably agree, you will get the most out of it if you can commit to it.

I gotta agree with every one else. It's a huge game. Now, if you don't mind playing it sporatically, then pick it up. I work 40+ hours per week, so I don't have a load of free-time, but I'm enjoying the hour or 2 I can give it here and there.

  7. Same here...I have very little free time so I only play 4-6 hours of Fallout 4 a week so this game is going to take me a year to complete, which is fine with me.

You really need at LEAST an hour each time you sit down as you can't really do much in less time. Well, that's how it is for me anyway.

Hey everyone, I appreciate the responses! Sounds like I'm not alone with this predicament. I'll probably play a little more of the games I'm playing now and see about getting Fallout 4 in the coming weeks. With Winter Break coming up, I'd probably be able
to give the game the time it deserves for a bit. Thanks again everyone!

  10. Yes, I have a few days of vacation time next week, so between family functions I'll be in the wasteland.

I plan on putting in as much time that is expected on any Bethesda game.

    100+ hours.

    Know what you're getting into.

  12. Yes, at least 100....but I'm starting to think for me, it might even go beyond 100 with the settlements. That's a pretty time consuming part of the game.

    Fallout 4 Time Commitment

Yeah, I had all the DLC for Fallout 3 and put in close to 100 hours if not more. I would expect this game to be no different especially once the DLC's start coming out.

I usually get 300+ hours out of a Fallout game, but most of that time is spent walking as I don't do fast travelling...

  15. Genchy, that seems nearly impossible. I do like exploring by foot, but like for me, going from my Red Rocket Shack-Mansion to Diamond City is quite a trek and I like to go there a lot.
