Fallout 4 stuck on syncing data

After getting the last fallout 4 update, my game gets stuck just after the initial starting scree, and just read "Syncing data for Fallout 4". The percentage bar has only gotten as high as 2%, and hasn't moved at all in the last half hour. I've tried loading
offline, but that only gave me access to saves from when the game first came out. I've also tried to the hard re-boot, uninstall - reinstall, but no luck. Not sure how to proceed I saw this was a problem for people about 6 moths ago, but not much recent.
Any ideas?

p.s. I did recently perform a factory restore, per the suggestion of Microsoft help desk, for help on a buggy app. But I was assured this would not affect the memory in any way.

Here what I found around on how to fix this issue:

Go to settings and turn your Xbox to offline mode - Turn your xbox completely off - Turn it back on and sign out of your profile - Go to settings and turn if back to online mode - Start up Fallout 4 while signed out - When it forces you to choose your profile,
do so. The game should sync at this point

Seems it works for many gamers.

no percentage complete, just the intro playing over and over. NOT COOL!!!!

Make sure you are not downloading anything. A slow internet connection will impact this.

 

I recommend letting it finish syncing normally. When I upgraded to a new Xbox One and popped in Fallout 4 it took a couple of hours to resync. The reason it takes longer is because of the number of save files. The more you have the longer it takes.
