Fallout 4 Random Crashes

First, welcome to the Xbox community. Could you tell if this is the only game to have this type of issue, are you using any MOD in the game?

When the game closes does it show an error or does it just close?

Anyway, I suggest you try the solutions below, see if the problem will be solved.

Solution 1:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

After removing the account follow the procedure below.

Step 1. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds to open the Power center.

Step 2. Then unplug the power supply from your console and wait for 3 minutes.

Step 3. Plug the power supply back into the Xbox console.

Step 4. Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on again.

Now add your account again.

Solution 2:

Press the Xbox button.

Open Settings.

Go to Network and select Network settings.

Select Advanced settings.

Select Alternate MAC Address.

Select Clear.

Select Restart.

Solution 3:

Uninstall the game

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage devices.

Select Clear local saved games.

Select Yes to confirm.

Once your console restarts, try installing the game again.

hi, I feel your pain as I've lost count of the number of times I've had to restart Fallout 4 because it crashed or corrupted a save

Fallout 4 is notorious for random crashes.

there are certain areas of the map which are worse than others for causing crashes and the only option is to try to find a different way to get where you want to go, reload an earlier save and hope it works or start over from the beginning and hope it works.

using mods can also make Fallout crash more, but even without mods you are likely to get several crashes or other game breaking bugs.

if you are using mods it is vitally important to get the load order right to minimise the risk of crashing.

no its random, my friends tomb raide crashes, other friend its fine, both have identical setup in same house. and vice versa, fallout works 4 one not the othe, baffling. its definatly the new OS the xbox has. it was buggy in preview i heard. was rushed out

I had a lot of problems with Fallout 4 on Xbox. The short answer is that you can't really do anything, the game crashes no matter what you do. I finished the game with and without mods and the crashes were always there.

What worked sometimes was not using fast travel and not using guns with blast power (grenade launcher, gauss rifle, mini nuke) but even that does not save you from random crashes.

The best advice i can give you is to quicksave a lot. Hope this helps.
