Fallout 4 purchase unclear on getting Fallout 3, possible false advertisement.

I can't seem to get a straight answer to this issue so I'm posting here with hopes someone can help.

I bought Fallout 4 on Friday 13th from the Xbox One store on console. Now, in all the adverts leading up to purchasing it, it clearly says at the end "Fallout 4 includes Fallout 3 Playable on Xbox One"

Since buying Fallout 4 I can not find Fallout 3. The advert clearly states that the game comes with Fallout 3. Yet when I look online I find articles saying that you had to pre order to get Fallout 3. If this is the case then I'd like to claim false advertisement
as no where in these adverts does it state this. There is no mention of "You must have pre ordered or bought a special edition" in these adverts.

I would like an answer as to what the real situation is. Should I just wait for a code for the game to come my way as some have suggested to me, or have I bought this game under false advertisement and should lodge a compliant?

Did not receive Fallout 3 code

purchased fallout 4 on Dec. 6th, 2015. was suppose to get fallout 3 code with purchase but never received it. Please verify my account and send me the fallout 3 code the soonest time possible. An email notification is much appreciated. Thanks.

Promotion name: Free fallout 3 download with purchase of Fallout 4" (as indicated on disc cover)

Purchase date: Feb 11, 2016

Retailer: amazon canada

Issue: did not receive code either through xbox messaging center, nor was I able to find it inside the disc package. All my package contained was a "season pass" advertisement in English and french.

 

The promo lasts until February. So you should get the code about 7-10 days after your purchase

 

Is this just for digital copies, or do you get the code 7-10 days later when you buy the hard copy? Only ask as there was no code in my game box but like OP I cant find a straight answer anywhere.

 

I've seen different answers on that one too. Some people say the code is in the box, but then other places say you had to preorder and would get the code when you pick up the game, which makes it sound like you would get it separately. So I'm honestly not
sure about that one.

The code for Fallout 3 is in the box. I've seen them in there at my local retailer.
