Fallout 4 Mod Reserve Space

Is Fallout 4's reserve space for mods ever going to receive an increase? Since mod support launched, we've still been limited to 2gb. Skyrim on the other hand received 5gb of space. Because of the limited space we still have, us Fallout4 players have to
keep limiting what mods we use because we have very little space to work with. Can any consideration be given to increase the reserve space for Fallout 4?

Xbox one GB

500gb hdd after formatting and system use and reserve is about 340GB.

cod bo3 is around 45GB

GTA5 is about 50GB

nhl 17 not sure probably about 25GB

mincraft about 2GB tops

fallout 4 no idea

so to answer your question there is something iffy with your available space, do you have anything else installed like apps and addons.

lock digital game to an account

Is there a way to lock a specific game (that I bought on my account) to my account?

My brothers have an Xbox One and allowed me to buy Fallout 4 on there awhile back, problem is every single time their friend comes over he plays it on his account and downloads a crazy amount of mods!! They're in my game now too, and I don't want them. My brother says I can just go on his friend's account and disable the mods every time I play but his account is password protected. I keep making him delete the mods and promise not to download more but it seems every time he leaves there's at least 30+ new mods on my game! Is there a way to lock his account from playing my game or just lock my game to my account? This kid is driving me up a wall hereClick to expand...

If you disable the console from being your Home Console, then other users will have to either own the content themselves, or you will have to be logged in for them to play it. Although signing in every time someone wants to play content you own can be tedious if you are the primary provider of content on the console.

Here are directions for removing mods from the console:

Press the Xbox button to return Home

Navigate to the bottom of the Home menu and select the "My Games & Apps" app

In the "Games" category, highlight the Fallout 4 app

Press the Menu (Start) button and select the "Manage Game" option

Navigate to the right where the "Saved Data" list is, and highlight "Reserved Space"

Press the Menu (Start) button and select the "Clear reserved space" option

If the reserved space fails to clear, hard reset the console and retry steps 1-6

This will wipe out all the mods from the console. If you just want to remove certain mods, then I believe that can be done via the Mod Browser in the game. Although I haven't messed with this myself. So I'm uncertain of how that works.

Edit: It looks like you can disable them in the game. So even though they will still be on the console, they won't be enable for your game saves.

Bethesda doesn't have anything to do with the allocation of mod space on the console, that is entirely up to Microsoft.

I had this happen to me once. It might be your mods that are preventing the game from working. I would try clearing the 2gb reserved space. To do this go to my games and apps, then go to Fallout 4, then on your controller click the start button (the one
that looks like pancakes), then click manage game, under saved data go to reserved space then click the start button and select clear reserved space if that does not work try contacting Xbox support.

To safely clear reserved space when modding Skyrim SE on Xbox Series X, you can follow these steps:

11. Back up any saved games and important files you want to keep, as deleting mods and clearing reserved space can cause data loss.

2. Delete all mods, including USSEP, from your Xbox Series X.

3. Go to the Xbox System Storage Management settings and select Clear reserved space.

4. Reinstall the USSEP mod and any other mods you want to use.

Deleting USSEP and clearing reserved space will not affect your DLCs such as Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Saints, and Seducers, etc. They will still be available for you to use after the process.
