Fallout 4 keeps shutting down X box one X (refurbished)

Downloaded Fallout 4, game ran for a few hours, then Fallout 4 started crashing the X box by shutting it off. The problem has gotten worse, even after rebooting the game, it will run for a minute, then the X box will crash. Error message says the X box
is overheating, I can hear the fans working, even when the xbox has only been on for a few minutes. (Sometimes after it has been sitting idle all day.)

The game is loaded internally. I have shut off and deleted all mods. I have tried playing off line. I've rebooted the system. I've deleted and reinstalled the game twice. I even bought a physical disk, thinking this might take pressure off the hardware.
No effect. Game runs for about a minute, then shuts off.

Is the X box no good? Skyrim runs fine, even with mods. Or is it a problem with fallout 4?

Are new consoles that much more powerful than a refurbished? My xbox is an "X", my understanding that a refurbished X Box was just one traded in and wiped. Perhaps the refurbished has a design flaw, in which case I can either exchange it or upgrade
to an a brand new X box. I'll do that, if you think it will work.

Hello BrianLeiken1 and thank you for your question. With what you discribed it sounds like corrupted data with fallout 4 itself. As said above try uninstalling and removing all related data and reinstall it to try and fix the data. I had that problem with
skyrim and this is how i fixed it. I hope this was helpfull and feel free to msg if the problem keeps happening.

Did try a power cycle a couple of times, didn't help. Probably corrupted data or the X Box has a flaw that can't handle the memory.

Hi. It might be just Fallout 4. Try reinstalling it. That should help refresh everything if Fallout 4 is not running properly.
