Fallout 4 Installation Stopped

I bought Fallout 4 when it came out last year and have well over a hundred hours playing time. My daughter gave me the season pass for Christmas, so even though I haven't played much in the last couple of months, I still put the disc in every month or so.
A few weeks back I noticed that whenever I turned on a different game a message popped up saying "Fallout 4 Installation Stopped", which was kind of annoying, but since I wasn't playing it that wasn't a big deal. I was able to play Automatron and Wasteland
Workshop DLC's without problem, but when I went to play the Far Harbor DLC I can't load my Fallout 4 disc.

I thought it might be a corrupt save, so I deleted the game from my hard drive and attempted to reload the disc. Of course it didn't work, so my next thought was it might be a defective disc, although it is completely unscratched. Despite the good looking
appearance of the disc I decided to try a different disc by borrowing a copy from a friend of mine. His copy looks brand new, but I still get the same "Installation Stopped" message. I also tried deleting the saves from my xbox, but that didn't work either.
The best I can get is it loads to 1%, then stops with the same message. The other thing I tried is a power down by pushing on the power "button" on the front of the xbox for 5 seconds, waiting 20 seconds, then restarting. That doesn't work either.

Any ideas would be appreciated at this point. Thank you.

Fallout 4 keeps stopping at 60%

I've been trying to reinstall Fallout 4 at around 60% it will say "installation stopped". I click continue and it doesn't move at all. Any Help?

fallout 4 on my Xbox 1 is keep saying installation stopped I’ve been trying for 3 days now and nothing. It only gets up to 23% pls someone help

 

Another thing I tried doing is signing out, then signing in with my son's account, but it wouldn't let me load the game with his ID either.

 

For any that have a similar issue in the future my answer came with resetting my console to factory settings. I chose the option of keeping my games and apps loaded, but deleted my personal information. Afterwards I was able to load the disc with no problem,
although I did choose to delay loading the latest game update until I was done with loading the game. I suspect that it might have tried updating the game at the same time it was loading the disc. I had it set for automatic updates previously.

 

I was going to suggest, try deleting the profile from the console and restart it and adding the same profile again to see if that would have worked.

What you suggested about restoring it to factory settings and turning off the automatic updates (or just going to settings and turning off automatic updates without doing a factory reset) is a good idea as well.

Sometimes, the console might just needed to have the cache cleared out of it as well.
