Fallout 4 high internet/bandwidth use?

So I've been playing Fallout 4 for the last couple of days and I've noticed that my modem usage LED has been going nuts so to speak. It's constantly showing usage. I'm new to the XBox1, 360 for the last 7 years. Is this common to xbone games? I do have
a sizeable monthly download allotment from my internet provider so its not a huge deal, it just concerns me. Has anyone noticed this? Does anyone know how many mb's/gb's are being used?

I bought the game and because of our internet bandwidth limit, I didn't want to download the game right away, and then forgot about it once the monthly reset happened.

Android Solitaire, Why do it need its high bandwidth Internet?

There is no need for such internet bandwidth as Solitaire demands for online games of other 3D games.

Because of this, it can't sync because it does not have enough 256kbps internet connection!

 

Fallout 4 is Single Player only. It does not use the Internet at all. What may be happening is something else is able to be downloaded in the background since the game doesn't require the Internet. I know part of my update for the New X-Box Experience
downloaded while I was playing Fallout 4. The next morning when I went to play the game the console asked to restart and the update was applied.

 

Thanks for the input. I know F4 is a single player only game, days of playtime on F3 and FNV. I'd buy the background system update if it wasn't constantly showing internet activity. It stops when I exit to the dashboard and resumes again when I enter
back into the game. We're talking marathon sessions of F4 and internet activity s non-stop. I tried playing offline and yes, the game works, but, when I started offline it couldn't load my last save. It said something to the effect of last save could not
be synced. Manually loaded last save point and the game was off and rolling. As a note, when I logged back online with my console, all the achievements gained offline popped up. They did not pop up during offline play. I checked with my provider to see
how much internet usage occurred the days played online and it clocked in at about 1 gig over a 10-12 hour period. This game is using a fair amount of internets for something that does not require internet. Something people who have lower internet packages
should be aware of.

Another thing you can do to double check what is using the bandwidth is to check your network settings by following these steps.

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select Network.

Select Network settings.

Bandwidth Useage

This should give you a breakdown of how much has been used and at what time of the day, I would suggest checking your power on mode and see if background downloads are set to on as any game/app you own on your Xbox may be constantly updating causing you
to use more bandwidth than normal.
