Fallout 4 Guide

I know a lot of people have bashed Lei in this thread, but i for once actually agree. Every Bethesda game ive played has had some sort of quest bug where i couldnt progress and then once patched i had to restart so i could actually play through the story.
Not too much of a problem if you are only a few hours in and enjoy the game, but the first few hours never really entertain me when you have rubbish gear.

Has to be noted that these dont always affect everyone but i will definitely be waiting for the first major patch before playing.

 

The only real serious Bethesda bug I can remember encountering was in Oblivion. (going from my memory here, haha) Some quest required you to take a boat to an island with a fort on it, upon entering the fort it was a trap!, and you had to fight your way
through to the only other exit, which the player could then get stuck in... (as in just physically stuck in the doorway)

This was only a problem because it could be a pretty tough fight, so chances are you saved in the fort at some point, so if you didn't have a file from before you entered, your ***. :/

Got lucky with Fallout 3 and Skyrim, never encountered anything potentially game breaking, Hopefully future Bethesda games won't suffer the same weird issues haha.

I've only ever encountered the vampire cure bug on Oblivion. Anything else I came across was so minor it never ruined the game and it certainly never made me decide to wait for future updates for new game's.

There's no way I'm going to wait any longer than needed to get my hands on this game.

No worries Enjoy! Just done some surfing and so far all frame rate issues appear to be PS4 related, couldn't find ant reports of Xbox issues. Hope they sort it for launch for PS players.

Scott, I read that and it reminded me of a similar bug I encountered in Oblivion. I had loved Morrowind and was really excited about playing Oblivion.....until I got stuck in some ginormous building. All I know is that I fell down into some lower area
of the building and couldn't jump back up. It had been a while since I saved because I remember being pretty irritated. I stopped playing it for that night and a week went by, then a month, then several years. I ended up playing it again on the PC with
mods and it was a much better experience because I had much more control and could easily free myself with noclip or just fly out.

 

If there's one thing I learned with Bethesda games it's to save often lol I'll have to get back into the habit.
