Fallout 4 DLC help? Menu is saying all DLC's are not installed though we have them all ...

Hi to anyone who can help, my dad has just had this huge problem with Fallout 4, we've reached out to Bethesda about this problem and they've told us it's nothing to do with them, but xbox. I'm hoping some of you know what the problem is or if you're experiencing
the same problems know to to fix it, we'd be very grateful. So, onto the problem;



On Friday, my dad loaded into Fallout 4 with no problems, he played as normal and nothing was wrong. Then, Saturday night when my dad went to load his save, it came up with this box saying something like

“This save relies on content that is no longer present, some things may be missing from the world. Would you like to continue anyway?

Missing:

Nuke World

Far Harbour

Automatron

Wasteland Workshop

Vault Tech Workshop”

This literally happened out of nowhere and I suggested he reset his xbox, he did and we loaded the game back up but we still got the same error message, missing content type thing. He then moved the Fallout 4 folders and the DLC from his external/internal
storage? (I’m not sure which, I just saw him faff around and move some stuff over to one of the storages he was using) after that, we soft reset the console, loaded the game up and the message came up AGAIN. We checked the DLCS in the main menu and the DLC’s
showed up, but were all in grey and said non of the DLC’s were installed. My dad then tried to uninstall the DLC’s and then re-install them again but they wasn’t showing up anywhere in his hardrive/files, so he went to the app store to search and when he found
them, there was no “Re-install” or “Install” option, the only option the store was giving him was to buy all the DLC’s again, (although I should mention I bought all the DLC’s, my dad got all of the others free, as we console share kinda thing, which allows
him to get any game and its DLC’s if I buy/download them.) which we can’t do lol. I can't shell out over £30 again and my dad, loading in his game to see what the damages were made him feel so bad, everything he'd spent hours building were gone aside from
the base game content, all his armour and weapons had been completely stripped from him, he's just deleted every save he has and doesn't want anything to do with the game until it's fixed. I hope someone knows how we can get over this issue and have things
back to normal

Fallout 3 GOTY error installing DLC disc

I installed my DLC's all 5 with each having 3 files, into my Data file but not showing I have them ?

 

Fallout 4 DLC unavailable

fallout 4 dlc wont show up in game. now some mods wont work keeps telling me I don't have the three dlc released so far even though I have the season pass and they were installed and working not two days ago now for some reason it says I have them all uninstalled
while there sitting there in my hard drive

 

Sorry to hear it. Let me see if I have this correct though. You bought the DLC on your account and was sharing it with your dad.

If this is correct then you should check on the Home setting for the console. If you are sharing with your dad then your account should be set as Home on his console. If you set your account as Home somewhere else or he set his account or another account
as Home on his console this would cancel out the sharing feature for your content and you would need to set your account as Home again.

If this is not the case then you could try a factory reset of the console. Don't worry, there is a setting that allows you to keep all downloaded content on the console.
