    Fallout 4 DLC "Ask an adult to change your settings"


    My son is trying to download the latest DLC for Fallout4 (Nuka World). We continually get the an error message saying " Ask an adult to change your settings". I have signed into the family settings and removed anything that may have blocked the purchase
    (even though we've previously bought all of the other Fallout 4 DLCs with no problem). However we still get the same error message.

    I've spent two days on this issue and am no closer to a resolution. Any help would be much appreciated.

    I am the primary account holder and family settings show that I am an adult.

    Are you trying to purchase the DLC pack via the store on your Xbox One console or the web? Are you able to try making the purchase via the alternate method? Or through the Xbox App?

    you need to be an adult account you cannot change the age of your account after creation if the age of your account originally was set above 18 by now.remove it from the family and see what happens if it works you are an adult

    If not it will ask you to add another adult account

    Adult privacy settings isn't an adult account fyi

    There is no other way to leave the family or change any of the settings than through adults in your family. The best thing to do is ask for a new password on the account that has adult permissions in the family and change your screen time

    Hello Jessica!

    Sounds like your wifi router has changed it's security settings. If its asking for authentication, then your password could have been changed.

    If it's asking for an alternate MAC then, MAC filtering was set on the router as well.

    What type of account are you using, child or adult?
