Fallout 4 data sync problems

I just bought Fallout 4 in the Ultimate Games Sale and when I booted it up this morning, all my old data appeared from when I had previously owned a disc copy of the game. I wanted to clear the old data and instead of deleting individual saves I thought
that clearing the saved local game data from my console would be an easier solution. WRONG. Ever since I cleared the local game data, Fallout loads up and attempts to sync data from the cloud. Which is fine except that it never finishes and the loading bar
typically freezes at 5%. I have power cycled the system, hard restarted it, and tried a few suggestions from other forum posts but nothing has fixed it. Suggestions?

Sync cloud data not working again and again....

I am having sync problems with Fallout 4. Every time I want to play I get syncing data for Fallout 4. On Saturday when it did this it took 3-4 hrs. All these problems started after my xbox one did an update

 

My games won't sync at all.

My data won't sync with Fallout 4, running into problems at every corner with this console, it's absolutely useless, waited 5hours for it to sync just to finish and at the end say it couldn't sync.

 

I've since deleted and reinstalled the game with no changes. Also, if I quit syncing I get an endless loading screen

It can sometimes take a bit of time for Fallout 4 to sync. About how long are you waiting for it to sync?

 

I had waited for 30-40 minutes multiple times and the progress bar always froze at some point during that time. I've since figured out that cancelling the sync immediately on startup of the game will allow me to play so problem solved I guess.

It may be worth deleting some of your older saves in your game, as it's quite a hefty save file and clearing up previous quick saves will shrink down the file it needs to sync.
