    Hopefully I'll be done with Witcher 3 by then.

    The idea of using mods is really exciting but I don't think we will be getting that on the Ps4 side which is sad. Well I looked it up and it will but the timetable is "fuzzy"....well it gives me a little hope. I like mods.

    How in the world am I bashing the Xbox talking about the ability to mod a multiplatform game?

    Anyone with an even basic knowledge of modding on the PC will tell you that the mod support F4 will get on any console will be severely limited and my entire point was that it'll be more hype than substance. If anything I'm bashing Bethesda.

    To make Fallout 3 run properly on a typical Windows 7 or Windows 8 machine you actually NEED to mod it. To stabilise my Fallout 3 I had to install the FOSE mod, an anti-stuttering Mod and an anti-crash mod.

    These modifications don't change the game, they just keep it stable. Without them the PC version is a bit of mess.

    Got running now at 1080p with a near constant 60fps.

  5. How will the mods be regulated? Because they really NEED to be. Maybe they will have to be submitted somewhere and approved. It's a very exciting idea.

    Bethesda.net according to Told Howard. Bethesda are going to have to make the mods console friendly first.

    I molded Fallout 3 a fair bit, it was actually the first game I'd used mods on...... It's definitely not the same as installing some new dlc. It took me a few attempts to get it right, I totally messed up the first time and had to uninstall everything.

  9. The only game I heavily modded on the PC was Oblivion so I could actually make it appealing enough so that I could get through it, and it was AWESOME.

    Yeah, I had a mess around with Oblivion and Morrowind after I tried Fallout 3. I think they are literally the only 3 games I did though.

    Mods made Oblivion and Morrowind look as good as Skyrim did on the 360.

    The minute you give MS/Sony or a developer absolute control over the mods available then you defeat the purpose of it. You'll significantly increase the amount of time for the mods to get released and even worse make updating or fixing the mods a slow process.

    You'll limit the content of those mods. You can run through Skyrim with Reptile from Mortal Kombat or download a mod to max smithing if your not the crafting type but you'll never see those types of mods on the console because of copyright or achievement
    concerns. The list goes on and on......

    The only thing I don't understand, what's in it for Bethesda? This is going to mean a ton of extra work for them, with no real return. It's not like they have to do this because the game will already sell very well.

    I agree, I think this will end up being a bigger headache for them more than anything else.

    I can see it now.......thread after thread in the forums complaining about why a mod can be played on the PC and not the console. Or Mod (fill in the blank) broke my game.

    They have to know that MS/Sony aren't going to open their consoles up to allow for what most of us consider modding so why do it all.

  14. hmm I've thought of that myself. Maybe it will be a good pool for them to discover new talent? Or maybe it will just be an easy scan to see if rules were followed.

    I know i might get lynch for that but i got no appeal for mods....

    Saw videos and everything,i found that fun to watch but not looking after it.

    But still,i guess it's cool idea to bring it on Xbox.

    ....

    For devs/publishers,mods are cool.They can "steal" a mod ,add 2-3 things and selling it to us as a DLC. Fallout 4 coming out November 10, 2015...yes...2015 ;)
