Fallout 4 and Early Adopters.

I am still not sure if I will pick-up Fallout 4 as a day one release (I really want to) or wait at least one month or two after it comes out

Which is pretty much how early adoption has worked for every piece of new technology ever released in recent memory.

Early adopters pay full price. Early adopters are subject to bugs and other facets of the technology that doesn't work as advertised/expected. In return, early adopters get to use the technology on the first day it's made available.

This is the way it works. This is the way it has always worked. The complaining about this makes no sense at all.

 

The one quest breaking bug that comes to mind for me was in Skyrim.

I was doing the Thieves Guild quests and was tasked to meet Karliah at a certain standing stone at a particular time. I figured I had some time to kill so I did a small side quest. No problem. I show up at the stone on time but our meeting ever occurred.
I guess I was expected to go right to the stone and wait around until she showed up.

That quest line remains open to this day even after the patch. One day I'll start a 2nd play through but no time soon.

I'm going to play on day one, can't wait!

 

I took 3 days off to play the game, so I'll be all over this game day one.

 

Pre-ordered it a month ago. They'd better send it on time lol. I really wish I could've gotten the Pip-boy edition but man, 199€? That's like buying a whole new console already D:

 

I will be getting it Lei Fang, since I've already pre-ordered and pre-downloaded it - it'll be waiting for me, pretty much ready to play on day 1.

 

It's my most anticipated game in the last few years..... So yes, day one.

 

Out of the box there's an 800gb update and the game only loads in polish or Greek. The first door needs a key, however the key is on the other side of the door and you need $20 DLC to open it.

I was going to hold off getting Fallout 4 until I heard that the game was stable.

But as we're getting closer to launch, I'm very tempted to just buy it and throw caution to the wind.

I need to get back to the Wasteland.

 

No bugs or glitches will stop me from throwing my cash at Bethesda on launch day.

 

They already got my money

 

I'm a chronic saver in Bethesda games, so to tell the truth I've experienced very few problems with bugs. Vegas used to freeze a lot in transition screens, which was annoying until the patch. I've never seen anything gamebreaking in my years with the games.
Bugs are always part of the charm in a Beth game!

There are few games that I will buy on Day 1 anymore. I give Fallout and ES benefit of the doubt every time. But if they screw this up and release a mess, my new hard and fast rule will be to wait on every game...just pick em up cheap and cooked to perfection.
