Fallout 3/ New Vegas (Xbox one)

I would chomp up those remasters!! I hope they do it.

But in about a month I think Fallout 4 will be announced.

I have had a gut full of remasters, but fallout 3 is one game that I would be all for to be remastered. It is also needed on the PC, as it is quite buggy on Windows 7+.

 

I don't care what negative comments are given toward Fallout 3. All I know is that I felt like I was living in some wasteland with my pet dog for a couple months and it was awesome.

Lets move on to the future and stop re-releasing newer games. I understand there's appeal in them, but I don't think we really need a remastered edition of every game when many games last gen looked great as they were.

But yeah, bring on Fallout 4.

I agree... when most of us are chomping at the bit to get new games, it's a waste of time to keep remastering newer games that don't really need to be remastered.

 

They could conceivably announce a bundle of remakes [Fallout Collection] with a Beta Access key for Fallout 4 or something. It'd make financial sense. Sell a bunch old games at high prices at retail and promote upcoming titles, a la Wolfenstein shipping
with the DOOM Betas. <-- which could also be part of the announcement. Maybe it's going live.

"Fallout Collection" huh... I'm not sure how the first 2 would look running on an Xbox One, and would it include the Brotherhood of Steel games?

ALL of them in one nice little package would be a cool collectors edition to own.

 

Yeah those old isometric games would have to be totally revamped... XCOM'd or something. Heh ha. The PC versions look like liquid fried puhpoo today.

I was thinking more like The Handsome Collection, or the Saints Row Re-elected though. Just a collection of the most recent Fallouts, Bethesda era Fallouts that are easily ported over from PC. Stick a Fallout 4 Beta key in there... d'be another cash-in.

Slap some new textures on, give it a polish, and i'm sure Fallout would look good as new

If companies are so set on remastering, bring some older games back to life. Don't just up the resolution of a 360 game and re-release it. :/

 

It would have been more interesting to see if they could have rebuilt the first two games. Most people never got to play those, but to play them now in the way Fallout 3 & New Vegas was built. I wonder if that could have been cool.

 

Hopefully they are busy making Fallout 4 so will have no time launching a remastered version.

If you play on PC i'd suggest buying it it on steam and downloading some mods that add to the quests, weapons, characters etc. Add's a lot more game play

 

Yeah...mods are completely under-appreciated.

That reminds me... A couple years ago I played the PC version of Oblivion and loaded in a crazy amount of mods and by the time I was done with adding them in it was truly one heck of a magnificent game.

If I ever do play Fallout 3 a second time, which is a bit unlikely due to it being so huge, I would definitely choose the PC the second time around and do the same thing with adding mods into it. It can really change the feeling of the game and make it
feel new.

In that case Fallout 3 should qualify for a remaster as this game needs it . It was released earlier in the xbox 360s life, when the console was not being pushed to the limits, and is one newish game that has problems on Windows 7 or later.

Sleeping Dogs certainly did not need a remaster
