    Fallout 3/New Vegas Disc DLC Installation


    I purchased both Fallout 3 GoTY Edition and Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition on disc. I know there are two discs, but I wanted to know if I could install the DLC from the second discs to the hard drive, remove the disc, then access those DLCs for Fallout
    3 and New Vegas from a digital purchase of those games (on sale now $4.49). It’s cheaper for me to buy the disc versions for DLC, but I’d rather play digitally and use the Quick Resume feature without using the discs.

    Try installing the game from the DLC disc instead of the Game disc. If I remember correctly, that was the way to get the DLC for the Game of the Year edition of Fallout 3 and the Ultimate Edition of Fallout New Vegas. You will need to uninstall the games first.

    Yea I get the code part, but say for example Fallout 3 and New Vegas GOTY editions come with 2 discs, one for the game itself, and the other has all the dlc on it. I'm asking if I install the content from the second disc that has the dlc on it, will it be attached to my account.

    Bought disc (with DLC) after playing Game Pass version. Won't install game from disc and thus won't recognize DLC (DLC is installed).

    How do I get rid of the game pass version (Fallout New Vegas, if it matters) so that I can play from disc and access the DLC? The DLC is installed, but game shows "Game Pass" on launch screen and only sends me to store for DLC.

    DLC is on disc 2, so by rebooting xbox and putting in disc 2 I was able to install DLC. I just can't access it. :(
    Because of how Xbox Game Pass works, you have to reinstall the game due to the licensing trying to use the Game Pass version which acts as the definitive version.

    Go to My Games & Apps, highlight Fallout New Vegas, press menu (the button with 3 lines) and go to Manage game & add-ons.

    Once you are at this screen, highlight Fallout New Vegas again, and press Menu once again, the select Uninstall. This will uninstall the game pass version and you will be able to install from a disc once you do this process. Your DLC will be safe.
