    Fallout 3 Modding


    On the PC modding is encouraged as long as it within the confines of fair playing. Is this the same for the Xbox Live setting? Can one mod Fallout 3 or New Vegas on the consoles without being banned? Not talking about cheating, I'm talking about, possible
    custom campaigns, characters, etc. If not, consoles should really try that, it would add competition to the pc and put PSN on the nervous statements of playing catch up.

    I shall conclude with this official question, can one mod fallout 3 on the console as one would on steam without being banned?

    What is youre favorite Fallout game and why?

    Old generation Fallout 2. New generation Fallout 3. Did not play original Fallout, just number two and Fallout tactics. Played hundred of hours of Fallout 3 and there is so much You can create game wise to creating Your own challenges. Fallout New Vegas
    was fun, but really was no more then an upgraded version of Fallout 3. Sounds and character generation were the same from trogs in the Pitt to the tremblers in New Vegas and the sound effects in the Vegas tunnels borrowed from the Pitt. Would really like to
    see some of the crafting and modding brought to Fallout 3 with a few new quests.

    What is youre favorite Fallout game and why?

    I've only ever played 2 fallout games. Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

    New vegas is my favourite.

    There are many reasons.

    There are hell of a lot more quests.

    More towns and settlements with traders in. Fallout 3 only had 2 or 3 proper settlements with shops and one of those got destroyed if you are playing evil.

    The different factions mean multiple playthroughs are needed.

    There is crafting and weapons modding.

    But the main reason is hardcore mode. It totally changes the way you play. I wish Fallout 3 had hardcore as well.

    Fallout 4 coming out November 10, 2015...yes...2015

    To make Fallout 3 run properly on a typical Windows 7 or Windows 8 machine you actually NEED to mod it. To stabilise my Fallout 3 I had to install the FOSE mod, an anti-stuttering Mod and an anti-crash mod.

    These modifications don't change the game, they just keep it stable. Without them the PC version is a bit of mess.

    Got running now at 1080p with a near constant 60fps.

    Easy. Mods and cheats were available on Fallout 3 on PC even when it was a GFW title. If you enabled a cheat or used a Mod any achiements for the 'vanilla' un-modded/cheated game wouldn't unlock. This is fine for single player as Fallout 4 will be. It
    only becomes an issue in multiplayer based games
