Fallout 3 GotY DLC install not working

I have the Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition, and I am not able to get my DLC content working. I have inserted the DLC disk and it installs all the content correctly. Under Manage Game I see all the DLC installed along with the Fallout 3 game as well. However,
when I try to load an old same, I get an error that the DLC content is missing. I also get that error when I create a new game.

Suggestions on how to resolve are appreciated.

I have the GOTY of fallout 3 and it works perfect! my only problem was figuring the dlc for the game I would install the dlc but it would not show when i load the game...... I find out when you install fallout 3 then the dlc you have to keep the dlc disc
in the tray in order for the dlc to work unless you bought dlc from the store this is how you play the game...

Has anyone been able to install backward compatible DLC from DISC (not digital)

For example, Fallout 3 GOTY has a second disc with DLC on it. I'm trying to figure out whether or not it's available to me. I was able to install the DLC from Dark Souls, but that's because I own the digital version. With Fallout 3, I have it on the disc.
Just wondering if they've resolved how this will work in the future.

Yeah. It's the same for Fallout 3: GOTY and Oblivion: GOTY. The 2nd disc is usually the best option, as the 1st disc doesn't load the DLC w/ the game.

Unfortunately though, once you install the DLC it won't show as purchased in the Xbox store. The licenses for the DLC are on the disc itself.

I have a fallout 3 problem myself. I have fallout 3 GOTY, my game disc does not read well on the one but the 360 it reads fine. the dlc disc of fallout 3 is fine and can read on the one.

Because I preordered fallout 4 I got fallout 3 game itself for download but no dlc with it so I put in the dlc disc and the console installed the dlc no problem. I run the game and check downloads and none of the dlc shows up at all not even when I load
the game but it's on my game manager as installed...

As an update for Fallout 3 GOTY, the DLC disc does work, provided you install the DLC's with the Xbox One connected to the internet to download the patch. Keep your Xbox connected to internet to maintain the DLC's to work. Unfortunately, I travel with
mine and having issues maintaining the licensing for the DLC's to "load" when I start the game.

I ha this problem with Fallout 3 GOTY edition, i had to install it using the game and DLC with the 2nd disc, then when i wanted to play with the DLC installed i just had to put in the 2nd disc and play.
