    Fallout 3 Freezing on launch


    Hey,

    I downloaded Fallout 3 from the marketplace and when I try to lauch it the screen remains black and the game does not load.

    I have treied other games that are on disk and they work correctly.

    Ideas?

    Fallout 4 to be announced at E3?

    Fallout 3 was almost unplayable on my ps3 for freezing or not loading but still one of the best games ever

    Try deleting the game from your hard drive, and try re-downloading it. If that fails, make sure that the Console is not overheating. If all else fails, try emailing/phoning MS Support.

    @WestEndSky: Did both on both my X1 and X360, and the problem is prevalent regardless of whether you have the disc or digital download version. If I try to load a saved game from before, the game freezes/crashes instantly. If I try to start a new game, I
    get to RIIIIGHT before my character is to take their first steps, only for it to freeze/crash again. This is happening on BOTH systems with BOTH the GoD and disc versions of the game. And the irony is, the game was working just fine for me a few months ago
    when I was went through the update process.

    As for Fallout 3 randomly freezing clearing my System Cache worked for me.
