Fallout 3 digital version not saving on my Xbox1

I'm a newbie to xbox, coming from PS3. Bought the fallout bundle and downloaded and installed the fallout 3 digital version. my daughter and I both played, and got to a certain point and saved our games. Went back in a couple days later, those saved games
were gone. Can't find them. She played again started all over and got further than the first time saved the game and after just going back to the menu screen, the saves disappeared and we are going to have to start all over for a third time. We stopped
playing all together b/c we don't want to keep starting over every time.

Still haven't received fallout 3 code

I bought a digital version of Fallout 4 through my xbox one on 12/29/2015 and still haven't received my fallout 3 code. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

 

My Fallout 3 code disappeared.

Where was the Fallout 3 code originally? Did you pre-order the digital version or physical disc version of Fallout 4?

 

Hey there, OutlwGentlman48! I'm sorry to see that you and your daughter are both running into this! To be clear, you will need to make sure that your game is saved before exiting out of the 360 emulator. If you exit out of the 360 emulator before saving,
you will lose all of the progress made. This is the same if you simply go to the Home screen to switch up the app you are currently in.

If you are sure you are doing that, we may want to look into it further. Let us know what's going on!

 

Actually, I'm not sure if I'm doing this b/c I'm not even sure I'm in the emulator. The first time we played, it saved the games, I could see hers and mine, but when we went in the next day, they were gone. I thought this F3 digital version was a special
version for the Xbox1. What do you do to get in to the emulator?

 

I still have no solution to this problem and still have not been able to play Fallout 3 at all b/c it won't save. There has to be someone out there that bought this bundle and is using the digital version. Is no one else having this problem?

How do I get in to the 360 emulator? Does this special version of FO3 require you to use the emulator?

There is a big white swirling 360 splash screen every time you start a 360 game on the Xbox One that is pretty hard to miss. There is no stand alone emulator as it is built into every game that is backwards compatible. It is part of the digital download.
Other than the built in emulator there isn't anything special relative to the Xbox One with regard to Fallout 3. It wouldn't run on Xbox One if the emulator wasn't working.

You want to make sure that upon starting the game that you point the game to the same save location every time or you will seem to start over. The game will always ask on start up for the save game location be it the cloud, hard drive, thumb drive, etc.
but you have to choose the same location each time.

 

I have a similar problem. For some reason it doesn't even have a choice of choosing where to save the game (eg. Hard drive, the cloud...) I got really far throughout the game and it wouldn't let me save... Raghhhh!
