Fallout 3 code with Physical purchase of Fallout 4 not working

I get error code 0x80150017 when I try to redeem my Fallout 3 code.

Fallout 4 Preorder didn't give Fallout 3

Promotion name: “Free Fallout 3 code with digital purchase of Fallout 4”

Date of purchase: “November 6, 2015”

Issue: I haven't received my fallout 3 code even though I digitally preordered Fallout 4. I did preorder it though gamestop but it was digitally preorded not a physical copy so I don't know if the code for fallout 3 was on the receipt.

Hey there, GradualAlarm971! This error occurs when the account's region and someone's physical location does not match up. You will want to be sure that they do; if they don't, you will want to
change your account's region to make sure they match.

Additionally, if you are in a region that is not supported by Xbox Live, you will be unable to redeem some game codes. However, if you are in the military currently serving overseas (for any region), this would be why you are receiving this error. If that
is the case, then you will need to wait until you get back into your home country to redeem these codes that are giving you errors. They do not expire.

contact us for further assistance. We are unable to help with billing errors beyond what I've stated above, which is what this error code is for. Thanks for understanding!

Did you purchase the physical copy of Fallout 4? The code for Fallout 3 will be inside the case!

This seems no longer to be true.

Games purchased from other regions will play if physical disk, but any connected download codes will not work.

There are issues for example with the Gears of War 1-3 codes (included with Gears of War collection) and the Fallout 3 codes (that came with Fallout 4).

Hey there, holm3sy1984! If you bought the physical copy of Fallout 4 and there is no Fallout 3 code in there, you will want to go back to the retailer. The only Fallout 3 codes that we give here are when users purchased the game through the Xbox One Store
and was sent a code through the message center. Thanks for understanding!
