Fallout 3 code included with Fallout 4

Hello,

Today I have purchased a physical copy of Fallout 4 for the XBOX ONE. The physical copy comes with a code for a free digital copy of Fallout 3 for the XBOX 360, which should also be playable on the XBOX ONE through backwards compatibility.

When I tried to redeem this code, both on my console, and on the website, I receive an error.

When contacting Microsoft Live Support, the man told me the code's region is based in the US, and since it's a 360 game, even changing my console to the US region won't let me redeem it. He reffered me to this forum, to contact support in order to, maybe,
replace the code with a code thats suitable for my region (I am in the Israeli region).

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Unable to redeem XBOX pre-paid codes

Same here with an Fallout 3 download code, which was included in Fallout 4. Hopefully Microsoft can fix this as soon as possible.

Since it was purchased as a physical copy from another retailer, you would actually have to contact that retailer for an exchange.

Hello! I bought The consol with fallout 4 cd at the time fallout 4 was relesed and I got the code for fallout 3 with it. Fallout 3 is an xbox 360 game from The start could that be a problem trying to download to xbox one?

Makes no sence selling a box with fallout 4 to xbox one and a redeem code for fallout 3 to xbox 360 😑👈

This seems no longer to be true.

Games purchased from other regions will play if physical disk, but any connected download codes will not work.

There are issues for example with the Gears of War 1-3 codes (included with Gears of War collection) and the Fallout 3 codes (that came with Fallout 4).

You would need to purchase the Xbox One console bundle that includes Fallout 4, not all bundles include Fallout 4. If you purchased the Fallout 4 bundle and didn't receive a code you'll need to reach out to the retailer.
