Fallout 3 code gone

i pre-ordered fallout 4 on the digital store and received a redeemable code for fallout 3. I decided to wait until backwards compatibility is released but now that im looking for it, i cant find it. Did the message with the code get deleted? If it did,
is there a way to get it back?

All Xbox Live messages expire after 28 days, and it is not possible to access previously deleted/expired messages.

In the future, please make sure that you read your check/read your messages regularly so that you don't miss any!

However, Xbox Support may be able to trace the code that was sent to you (though I cannot guarantee it). They will reply to this thread in due course.
