fallout 3 code gone from messages after xbox one update

Note: I have received the message with the code but could not use it because i was not in backward compatibility pilot program. I tried to use it the day my Xbox one updated to new OS, however once i entered into messages on my Xbox one, the message with
the code was gone.

Free Fallout 3 code with digital purchase of Fallout 4

I Pre-ordered Fallout 4 digitally from the Microsoft store, and I received a code to redeem Fallout 3 via my xbox live messages. However I did not know that your message history gets deleted after a while and so the message with my Fallout 3 code is gone.
I wanted to redeem it now since Fallout 3 is backwards compatible with the Xbox One.

 

Xbox live messages with fallout 3 and rainbow 6 vegas 2 codes are gone.

Purchased fallout 4 and rainbow 6 siege and received free codes for fallout 3 and rainbow 6 vegas 2 in two separate messages from xbox live. Received three promotional messages from xbox live and noticed the messages from before the new year that contained
the codes are gone.

It sounds like your promotional message has expired - please remember that all Xbox Live messages expire after 28 days and are unrecoverable. Also please check your Xbox Live messages on
Xbox | Games and Entertainment on All Your Devices as it may be accessible there.

If that is the case, a member of the Xbox Support staff will be along soon and they may be able to retrieve your code.

how was i to apply the code then if i was not a part of backward compatibility program???

 

You can still redeem the code, and when you're able to download it it'll be waiting for you. It's a bit like the Games with Gold - Xbox 360 owners can still "purchase" the free games, and when they get an Xbox One in the future, the games will be ready for
download.

Xbox Support will reply here in the next 2-3 working days, and they might be able to recover your code.
